Don't aim for success if you want it;
just do what you love and believe in,
and it will come naturally

My Blog Shout Out goes to +Buzz Malone. Today, I noticed I had a new follower, so I popped on over to see what his blog was all about. I'm glad I did.
Buzz Malone, who is an author from Iowa, is fairly new to blogging. Right away, though, he grabbed my attention and I found I couldn't stop reading...and laughing...and thinking.
Mr. Malone has a talent for wit...both in words and the use of pictures to go along with his rants and raves. If his books are as witty and fun to read as his blog is, I'll be sure to pick one up.
A deeper message arises from his use of humor---his inspirational example of never giving up. Buzz knows he is a writer--it is his passion. And he seems to have the thick skin necessary to keep trying until the world, and publishers, also know it.
All the best for the Recognition and Success that I am certain will come to Buzz.

Wow. And did I mention...wow? I am deeply honored by this post. Thank you so much for all of your kind and encouraging words.
When it comes to giving up, I'd love to. Writing, as with life, is hard, and often presents us with seemingly insurmountable difficulties.
But writing is also like life in that if you keep putting one foot in front of the other, and keep placing pen to paper, that every once in a while you will undoubtedly experience something unexpected and beautiful, and all of the drudgery will be worth while.
Your words here are few, but they are enough. They are the encouragement I require to put one foot astride again in front of the other. Oh, how I do cherish any and all encouragement, and what yours has meant to me on this day you may never fully realize.
Writers, by nature, cannot give up though. Despite all frustration or pleas for good sense or anything else, we can't quit this thing. We can no more give it up than we can cease to breathe. We write because we must.
If the entire world refused to read a word I'd written, I'd write them anyways and burn the pages. But how wonderful it is whenever someone, anyone, actually reads them! And what a miracle each time someone is touched or moved or made to feel something by them!
Again, thank you, and to everyone who takes a moment to read the words of any aspiring author, or writer, or blogger...thank you as well. You're presence means everything to us. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Buzz, You have encouraged and inspired me every bit as much as I have you.
Daily activities and work commitments often drain the energy, peaceful solitude, and inspiration needed for focused writing. The example you set from your blog of your determination to succeed no matter what, provides added fuel to my writing desire and goals.
Thank YOU!
Carmen
